HISTORY
Established in 1985 by Dr. A.M.D Nambudiri, Chethana Pharmaceuticals swiftly emerged as pioneers in pharmaceutical formulations. Drawing upon expertise gained from North America, Dr. Nambudiri, alongside his nephews Damodar Avanoor and K.P Purushothaman, initiated production in 1986. Initially focusing on small-volume parenteral and select eye medicines, we continuously honed our specialisation. Today, we are a premier manufacturer of specialty pharmaceutical products in South India, renowned for our sterile eye and ear medications, and non-sterile nasal and ear formulations. Our Manufacturing facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the highest quality standards in every aspect of production, from raw materials to finished products. We strive for excellence in manufacturing and crafting marketing strategies that seamlessly connect with our distribution channels.
1985
Chethana is established, starting with small volume parenterals and ophthalmic formulations. Becomes the first manufacturer of sterile pharmaceutical products in Kerala.
1995
Chethana Medicaments is launched, introducing Ayurvedic or Traditional formulations to the product portfolio.
2005
Operations commence in Tamil Nadu, marking a significant expansion for Chethana.
2009
Operations commence in Tamil Nadu, marking a significant expansion for Chethana.
1995
Chethana Merchandise is founded, giving a more focused approach to marketing operations.
2005
Chethana achieves its first export milestone, shipping products to Vietnam. Subsequently expands exports to Myanmar, Mozambique, Mauritius and Kyrgyzstan.
2006
Chethana Formulations is established, unveiling a new manufacturing facility dedicated to non sterile liquid formulations.
